Who Organizes it?
The organizing team is led by Chris Kiriakopoulos and Tim Farrar. Together and separately, for over 25 years, they have been organizing single and multi day bicycle races as well as providing technical support to organizers from Ohio to Thunder Bay and from British Columbia to Nova Scotia
A teacher in Hamilton, Chris was thrilled to work for the 2003 World Road Championships. Before teaching came along, the successful Hess Village Criterium and 1982 National Road Championships led Chris to a decade of organizing races professionally. In his hometown, Chris is proud to be a founding organizer of the Paris to Ancaster Bicycle Race. He has most recently focused on volunteering for the Hamilton Cycling Club serving as president for six years. As Race Director for the Good Friday Road Races Chris was lucky to serve with an Executive team which brought the event back to Hamilton and transformed it into the season opening Ontario Cup. A Level 1 Road Coach (NCCP) and Certified Sprockids Instructor Chris is passionate about getting kids on bikes. He leads road, track and mountain bike opportunities for kids through Hamilton Youth Cycling.
Tim has worked for the 2003 World Road Championships, United States and Canadian National Road championships, Us Pro championships, Tour of Georgia, Tour Trans Canada, and Ducati Revs America Motorcycle Las Vegas rally. He is also a founding partner/organizer of Paris to Ancaster.
Proceeds from the race will benefit Hamilton Youth Cycling, an organization providing opportunities in road, track and mountain bike racing to kids in the greater Hamilton area.
